Winter 2008 Points Update (15 June 2008)

The running of the 2008 Special Trophies Day marks the half way point of the MCCC Winter 2008 season and it is worth taking a look at the current points standing in each grade and the all important Rider of the Year.

No surprises in A Grade with Kevin Tankard holding an almost unbeatable lead. The real battle is for second place! A closer contest is underway in B Grade with Tom Athorn having just nudged ahead of Harry Robbins in the last couple of weeks. Dave Digby is holding a clear lead in C Grade through consistency and Gary Simpson currently has the edge on Joe Monteleone in D Grade. In the Juniors, Brodie and Ben Athorn are respectively leading the U/17 and U/15 competitions, whilst Tyler Beruldsen is leading the U/13's.

The Rider of the Year points are showing a close contest between Kevin Tankard and Richard Hale. Tankard has fared well based on his results in the Club competiton, whilst Hale has been busy chasing points in open races. It promises to be a close finish!
