Regular Club racing resumes this weekend, with the Special Trophies Day to be held on Saturday 16 June starting at 1.30 pm. The race venue is the Riverside short circuit, and is over a distance of 56 km (24 km for juniors).
There are three senior trophies and a junior trophy up for grabs as follows:
- Wizzer White for open riders and juniors; - Ned Kelly for riders aged 35 to 49 years; and - Over 50's trophy for ... all the old blokes!
All riders under 35 years of age (except juniors) must compete in the open race. All current A grade riders aged 35 years and over are expected to ride in the open event, however they are not obliged to do so. The trophies will be presented at the Riverside Golf Club following the conclusion of the race. The Club will put some money on the bar for drinks and will provide some nibblies.
Riders rostered for race set-up duty are Sean Gallagher, Ken Dean and Jess Butler. All riders intending to compete must nominate by 5.00 pm on Thursday 14 June, and all riders must have signed on by 1.15 pm on Saturday. When nominating, could you please advise the handicapper which race you are intending to contest.
See you there!
